Description
This image is a view looking west from Alamitos storm drain outfall at the base of Alamitos Avenue. It shows how sand is being deposited in the beach area adjacent to the Pacific Coast Club located at 850 Ocean Boulevard. In the foreground, the surface of the sandy beach shows rippled wind pattern erosion. In the background, the Ocean Center Building and other downtown structures can be seen. Further at left is the large Municipal Auditorium, with Rainbow Pier curving out into the water around the building. Two period street lights (at right) are partly visible on Ocean Boulevard.
