Designed by Joseph C. Newsom and built in 1891 for Rev. Edward T. Hildreth, a Congregational minister, the home was later replaced with the Security Pacific Bank Building (later the Bank of America Plaza). Exterior of the ornate Hildreth Mansion, located at 357 S. Hope Street (lower right) on Bunker Hill. Acar is parked on the street and a sign indicates that 4th Street (left, foreground) was not a through street at that time.
