On June 12, 1999, Long Beach residents donated to the Long Beach Public Library 398 family and personal photographs as part of this ongoing statewide project. Pictured here standing in front of a bulletin board are three friends: two middle school-aged girls and one young woman. One notice on the board reads, "Just Say No to Drugs." From left to right are: Soktearvy Chhann, Misato Tamura, and Socheata Khim. This image was taken at the United Cambodian Community Plaza, Suite 102, during the after-school tutoring program.
