Photograph of three women standing on the veranda at the old Pio Pico residence in Whittier, ca.1890. The veranda stretches across the image in the foreground and has a low wooden wall around it. Three women can be seen at center, leaning on the railing. The two women on the outside are wearing light-colored shirts, while the one in the middle is wearing a dark one. The adobe walls of the house can be seen in the background. A set of wooden double doors can be seen at right, while a large arched window is visible at left.
