Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the University of California, Los Angeles' Royce Hall, January, 1938. A group of people gather at the steps, beneath three tall archways at the building's entrance. Another three archways are situated above these, with the middle one arching into a point on the building's front. This pointed rooftop sits between two tall towers, while an arched walkway lines the bottom of the building on both sides. The photo allows one to view the entire side of the building, and a rounded columned structure emerges at center, while rows of both squared and arched windows line a three-story structure that works its way into more structures in the back. Several rounded turrets stand atop roofs in this area. A large manicured lawn stretches in front of the building, and a sky with a sprinkling of clouds hangs overhead.
