Photograph article dated November 16, 1955 partially reads, "When we called on Mrs. Dan Aberle at 10 a.m. one morning last week, she was spreading frosting on a large cake, while a big roast, ready for the oven, waited on the stove. Company for dinner? No, just this mother-of-four's way of saving time to work later in the day for the Granada Hills Community Chest campaign. Mrs. Aberle is winding up her fifth season as a Community Chest worker. Her job this year was elementary schools chairman, and she directed 53 workers in house-to-house solicitations in Granada Hills. Along with acting as chairman, she took a territory of her own to canvass on foot."
