Description
Six young women sitting on the porch steps of a house, with a dog on the porch behind them. Handwritten above the photograph: "Mill Valley". Handwritten below the photograph: "Trixie, Hazel, Irene, Mabelle." According to the donor, those pictured are identified as follows: Top row: unknown, Beatrice (Trixie) Kelly (1884-1971), Hazel Windmiller (1885-1945), Bottom row: Irene Coffin (1888-1999), unknown, Maybelle Kelly (1888-1966). Also according to the donor, the girls identified by name were all cousins and grew up partially in Mill Valley. The two unidentified girls were probably local friends. There are two images of the photograph; the restored version and he original before restoration'
