Description
Republican mural advertising West Belfast Taxi Tours, Falls Road, West Belfast, 2002. Depiction of various Republican murals in the background; taxi has tourist taking photos. Phone numbers to arrange the tours, including weekends; for organised groups there is a fax number. 'Gabhal an Chaisleain' (Pick up at Castle Street). During the troubles the Black Taxi services were both more reliable and more frequent than the Belfast City buses, largely because the latter were liable to disruption; the service, operated on both sides of the divide by different organisations, served the principal routes from the city centre into the west of the city.
