Description
Black and white photograph showing a group of women dancing at the mission station of the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society (later the Methodist Missionary Society) during Christmas 1932. The caption to this image reads: "Women dancing Christmas 1932 Ama Achara." The women wear head-dresses (called "gele") and wraps around their waists. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital.
