Description
An aerial photograph showing downtown from inland towards the sea. The photograph is looking south from American Avenue (now Long Beach Boulevard) and State Street (now Pacific Coast Highway). Visible in this photograph is Rainbow Pier and the Municipal Auditorium as well as The Breaker's Hotel to the right located at 200 East Ocean Boulevard and the Jergin's Trust Building 100-120 East Ocean Boulevard. Further to the right along the shore, Lincoln Park is visible as a block of foliage with the Carnegie Library in the center. The Pike is visible along the shoreline. DATE NOTES: Circa 1940. ORIG.
