Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated July 19, 1950 partially reads, "Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Leuschner operate a hardware store in Northridge...Educated in excellent German schools, Leuschner came to the United States in 1926 and met Erna in Detroit where she was employed as a nurse. Kurt worked for General Motors as research engineer, helped design the famous Fisher Body for motor cars. Coming to California seven years ago, he worked for a time at Douglas Aircraft and later established his hardware business in Northridge.
