Text written under photo: "Hotel Whitcomb. Market near 8th St Illuminated New year 1922." Night view shows the hotel with its windows and architectural elements accentuated by rows of lights. Numerous autos are parked in front. Streams of light from passing streetcars indicates that this photo was a time exposure.
