Photograph article dated August 1, 1964 reads, "Attorney David L. Mohr, Sherman Oaks, has been appointed a Los Angeles Municipal Court Judge by Gov. Edmund G. Brown. He succeeds Judge Edmund W. Cooke, who retired. 'Mr. Mohr... has earned the high esteem of the legal fraternity and I am sure he will distinguish himself on the bench,' Brown said. A veteran of 23 years of private practice, Mohr is a university of Southern California graduate. Mohr, a Democrat, is a member of the executive board of Plaintiff Trial Lawyers Assn. of Los Angeles County. He is active in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 11. Mohr and his wife and two children live at 4020 Camino de la Cumbre."
