The Arcadia Theater was playing "One mile from heaven" starring Sonja Henie and Tyrone Power, the city's name is strung across the street, traffic is bustling back and forth and the commercial district is clean, bright and sunny. Boldly advertised was the price of whiskey at 59 cents a pint.
