Photograph. "Girl communists in Boston parading in a radical demonstration. Young women of this type resort to scratching, kicking and yelling when halted by police." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 30 December 1934. "529022.... watch your credit... International Newsreel photo, slug (communists) -- Girls active in communist demonstration. -- Boston.... Girl communists as they paraded in Boston, bearing signs of protests and pleas. A large crowd appeared on Boston Common to hear speakers and dispersed later without disorder. (L-5-1-30)" -- typed note attached to verso.
