Photograph of a view of San Pedro Harbor, showing Timm's Landing and Dead Man's Island, ca.1873. Both a picket and a post-and-rail fence descend from the hill in the right foreground, surrounding a partially visible one-story building in the harbor. Farther back into the image, a collection of craftsman-style buildings are shown, with Dead Man's Island pictured at the center of the water in the background. Picture file card reads: "Warehouse where first schoolhouse was started by Mrs. Alonzo Wheeler, 188[?]-1882." As well as "Watkins photo.".
