Aerial view of the Ford Motor Company, Mercury Plant site located at 8900 E. Washington Boulevard in Pico Rivera; view is looking west. The plant, which appears to be completed, is located on the corner of Rosemead Boulevard and Washington Boulevard (forefront, but not visible from this angle); Paramount Boulevard runs diagonally (middle right to top left), and Rio Hondo parallels (upper portion). The 157-acre manufacturing facility was dedicated on May 6, 1948; the plant closed in 1980 and was purchased by Northrop Grumman in 1982. Photograph dated February 19, 1957.
