Description
"Madagascar. - Soeurs Indigenes et enfants ramassant leur tourbe" ("Indigenous sisters and children collecting their peat"). A group of twenty four women and children are collecting peat into baskets, which they carry on their heads. Some of the women wear a nun's habit. Postcard issued by the Congregation des Soeurs de Saint Joseph de Cluny, 21, Rue Mechain, Paris.
The back of the postcard is blank and contains information about the publisher: "Helio Aulard, Iung et Cie, Paris".
