Description
Painted on frame in white: 1079. Style #80600E, Patent #1043188, Serial No. 352726. Bag stitching machine used for sewing 50 and 100-pound bags. Similar to equipment used in Santa Clara Valley to make bags for nuts. The sewing head is mounted on a 5.5" diameter vertical metal post supported on a "H" shaped metal base, with two, 3.5" diameter metal wheels at one end. The sewing head height is adjustable using a large hand wheel at the top of the machine. A sliding carrier beneath the sewing head moves full bags under sewing head to sew closed.
