Description
Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on April 6, 1966 stated: " . . . In the picture on the right (subject photo), the view is south with the copter hovering over the B Street underpass. The 30th Street entrance to the freeway has been blocked off to through traffic at E Street. The new section opened yesterday is the left freeway lane in the right picture. Off ramps for northbound traffic are under construction and will not be read for several weeks. State Highway officials expect the freeway will be ready for full use of four lanes north and south in the A and P Streets stretch late this year or early next year."
