Description
This 1955 Pacific Telephone brochure provides details on changes that took place to 40,000 phone numbers in the Sacramento region. The switch was made from Hillcrest and Hunter exchanges changing to exchanges at Gladstone, Empire and Garden. Pacific Telephone made the changes to accommodate the tremendous post-war growth in Sacramento which saw a tripling in the number of area phones since 1941.
