Photograph included in the Exhibit: Defining Their Identity: The Changing Roles of Women in the Post-War Era as Documented by the Valley Times Newspaper.
Artist Tamara Lysloff paints Byzantine-style icons at St. Innocent Eastern Orthodox Church as Father Sergei Glagolev looks on. The five icons, that have the Eucharist as the central theme, will be blessed in a ceremony June 4 conducted by the Rt. Rev. John Shahovsky, Eastern Orthodox Bishop of San Francisco. Photograph caption dated January 9, 1961.
