Description
103 East Blithedale Photo shows a Chevron gas station. Attached description reads, "Prior to 1924, when it burned to the ground, the site was occupied by a grocery store. During the twenties it was a vacant lot with the grocery store steps going up from the corner leading nowhere. In 1929 Ken Westleader built a Standard Station on the property. The pumps were in the center of the lot close to East Blithedale. Hill Street corner. The structure toward the back had a service hoist in the center and a showroom on the East Blithedale side. It was a Studebaker dealership from 1929 - 34 when it became an Oldsmobile dealership. It ha Operated as a Chevron Station by the Jandura Family of M.V."
