Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated January 2, 1962 reads "Maureen Weber, 8, 5642 Norwich Ave., polishes up the bicycle she won because she was able to guess Santa Claus' weight and girth in a Christmas contest sponsored by the Sherman Oaks Junior Chamber of Commerce-Senior Chamber merchants Division. The lucky Miss tabbed Santa at 217 pounds (he weighed 216) and guessed his waist measurement as 46 inches (it was 46 1/2). Ken Pomish, contest chairman, watches Maureen shine up her prize."
