6 images. Bird shipment, rare cockatoos arrive from Australia, 23 July 1952. Francis S. Scherr, importer.
Supplementary material reads: "Gersh on, city desk, illus. bird shipment. Rare Cockatoos arrive from Australia for delivery at Miami Fla., Parrot Jungle, on board S.S. Parrakoola at General Steamship Corporation docks. 1: Spinofox Pigeons. They will be quarantined for 15 days. 2/3: Left G alah (female) and Wee Juggler Crested Cockatoo (male). Their hybrid fledglings will be more beautiful. 4: Black White Tiled Cockatoo. Rare and worth $1,000 on U.S. Market. 5: Francis S. Scherr, importer, holds Sulphur Crested Cockatoo which shows affection by kissing him. 6: Sulphur Crested Cockatoos shown in affectionate pose. They are mates".
