Supplementary material reads: "For immediate release, (Sat., March 27, 1954). Regal Blossom -- The famed apple orchards of Washington State are in bloom and 17-year-old Carol Jessup of Wenatchee, who arrived in Los Angeles today via Western Air Lines from Seattle, is the fairest blossom of them all. Elected "Blossom Queen" at the annual Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, Carole is visiting the Southland to spread the good word about the health-giving qualities of her native state's famous crop.
