Photo of Mexican women making tortillas by hand at El Sol del Mayo tortilla plant. The photo shows that the corn for the tortillas was ground by hand with stone mortars. The plant owned by Maria Quevedo in the 1920s or 1930s and was located at 110 North Spring Street, in Los Angeles.
