The missionary on the left could be Brother Stern.--Stern, Rudolf Leupold(t),theologist, born June 15th, 1865 in Gorakhpur, East India, died March 12th, 1923 in Schönbruch, East Prussia. He married Hanna Binder in 1894 and the couple took up missionary work in Suriname that same year until 1897. From 1898-1908 Stern worked as a missionary in East Africa (1898 Urambo, 1899 Kiwere: foundation of a new mission station, 1906-08 Sikonge). In 1908 the couple returned to Germany.
