4 images. Children found in house with father, who had been dead for days ...Jose Francisco Abad, father, not in picture, 12 March 1952. Jewel Abad, 3 Francine Abad, 5 Francisca Abad, 5, twins. Supplementary material reads: "Gershon. City desk. Illus. Death House kids. Death was their roommate for three days! Photo shows left: Jewel, 3 Francine and Francisca, 5, twins, shown standing outside their home in San Pedro. Their father, Jose Francisco Abad, died apparently, police say, at least three days ago and the children stayed in the house until discovered yesterday by half-brothers, GI Alvino, 18 and Jose, 17. Alvino went to the the home to say goodbye to his father as he was to leave for Washington, D.C. for regrouping of his unit for Korea destination".
