J. Walter Collinge, master photography in Santa Barbara in early 1900's, was known for photographs of gardens and homes of Santa Barbara.
Smiley Heights, in Redlands, was development created by brothers Albert and Alfred Smiley. Developed in late 1880's, officially named Canyon Crest Park, popularly known as Smiley Heights. Brothers landscaped the development, became a tourist attraction.
