Description
Hand-drawn map of the Kanaka Creek, where it forks from the Yuba River. Freemans and Nevada City Road, "Road to Mine" and Forest Road, Alleghany Road, Plumbago Road and Alleghany City are also drawn. Mining sites are listed, including several notations about monetary value of specimens and output: Bonanza, Kanaka Canyon, Yellow King, Carr Ravine, Scotts Flat, Red Point, Chilano Bar, Rocky Bar, Thor Point, Tweedy Point, Railroad Point, Hy Ferugeon, Mammoth Crevice, Kimberly, Deadwood, Whiskey Point, Dutch Joes Point, Campbells Point, Negro Bar, Kanaka Flat, Longs Point, Buckeye, Chips Flat, Gibbs Flat, Golden Star.
