This is a window display of Mills Electric Company at 326 Pine Avenue, showing General Electric radios. Designed similar to a movie set, the window contains small living room furniture (at left), and two large radios. Behind the radio at right, there is a large model of a multi-story building. Above the building is painted a fantasy-style wonderland of tall steeples and light. Painted in the center of this imaginary place is a large, circular GE logo. Signage accompanying the display reads: "Out of the House of Magic; Coming Soon; General Electric Full Range Radio." Other window signs read, "A New Type Radio By General Electric; Hear the Best in Radio," etc. DATE NOTES: Circa 1930. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: Yes.
