Photograph (detail) of the ruined steps to the bell tower of the church at Mission San Fernando, 1924. A temporary(?) wooden ridge roof has been erected over the steps. The bare adobe bricks of part of the base of the bell tower are visible at right. Low vegetation grows thickly in the foreground.
