All three men are being honored for their outstanding contributions to society by the North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Capt. Joe H. Engle is an United States Air Force pilot participating as a test pilot for the North American X-15 program. Dr. William F. McColl is an orthopedic surgeon who is also serving as a missionary surgeon in Korea for crippled children. Charles Jackson Wheeler climbed the Matterhorn in the Pennine Alps when he was only 14 years-old. This photograph was taken during a press conference in Santa Monica, CA.
