Description
This photograph was taken near what is now Tamien Train Station, San Jose. According to the 1952 Santa Clara County Department of Agriculture Annual Report, there were 40 acres of prickly pears producing 12,000 flats at a unit value of $1.50, and a total value of $18,000.
