Title supplied by cataloger. Open between 1960 and 1965, the Rancho Conejo Airport was part of Janss Corporation's Rancho Conejo Light Manufacturing & Research Center. Northrop was the main tenant, with both their Institute of Technology and Northrop Corporation Ventura Division, located at the runway's southern end. Technology Instrument Corporation manufactured light electronic instruments for the military and the space program at their 24,000-square-foot facility on the property. Photograph caption dated October 14, 1959 reads, "Dr. Luis W. Alvarez, center, snips ribbon with king-size scissors to mark opening of Technology Instrument Corp. plant in Rancho Conejo Light manufacturing Research Center, Thousand Oaks, in ceremonies attended by, from left, Edwin P.
