Photograph of the junction of Main Street, Spring Street, and Temple Street, ca.1863. Looking north -- the first Temple Block. Pepper trees dominate the site of the post office. The Main Street Quartel (jail) is located on Fort Hill. Don Juan Temple lived on the northwest corner of Temple Street and Main Street. A horse-drawn wagon is tethered in front of the 2-story building "Hellman"[?] at left. Blurred.
