Description
Samuel L. Washington, in flight gear, posing with a group of pilots at an unspecified military base. Washington, a graduate of the Tuskegee Army Air Field, served as a P-51 "Red Tail" fighter pilot with the 332nd Fighter Group during World War II. He is identified on the front of the photograph as the man seated second from the right in the front row.
