Description: This view looking out to sea from approximately 39th Place shows a rocky section of the Long Beach shoreline called "Devil's Gate." By 1903 most of the features were eroded away. Belmont Pier(circa 2013)is now located close to the shoreline area that was once "Devil's Gate." DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 3.5" x 5.5" sepia glossy print.
