Description
Exterior view of the Hotel Palmyra – circa 1890. Rear of photo is marked “Palmyra Hotel 1890. Owned by Henry and Ellen Pfeifer (parents of Mrs. John Lee).” Built on Palmyra Ave. in Orange by C.Z. Culver at a cost of $40,000, the 24-room hotel opened in 1887. It was torn down in 1970. E.T. Lee’s relatives apparently owned the Hotel at that time.
