Description
Photograph of the painting "Women and Children First' by T. Howard Michael, depicting an alarmed woman holding a child, [s.d.]. The image, which is tiled slightly askew to the left, shows a woman in her nightgown holding a child in her arms. Her stare outward towards the viewer appears to be imporing. The light in the painting also appears to be coming from the viewers direction, illuminating the scene like a spotlight. The background is indistinct, but appears to be a bunk area of some kind. Picture file card credits the painting to "F. Howard Nisehall" but the signature at the bottom right of the image reads "Michael".
