Photograph of an aerial view of the Los Angeles River and the Santa Fe Railroad yards on its left bank, Los Angeles, 1938. The dull river runs down the center with lines of railroad cars on tracks on either side. A road (either 4th or 6th Street) stretches over the river on the top connecting the two banks. A community of buildings can be seen on the right while a row of what appears to be the La Grande Santa Fe Depot buildings line a thin street on the far left.
