Description: Image of a crowd watching a performance of some kind on the Venice Pier in Venice, California. The tall tower at right has lettering that says "Dragon Bamboo Slide," and a sign across from it says: "Flying Trains." Other signs say "the Fun House" and "Penny Arcade" and "Fire hazard. Do not smoke on ferris wheel."
This is a copy negative (a photograph of another photograph). Title and date devised by cataloger based on an image in the Jeffery Stanton publication Venice of America (Donahue Publishing, 1987), p. 109. The Dragon Bamboo Slide was opened in 1926.
