On the right in the background can be seen the porch of the commissary. The photo was taken just after dinner when the men were going over to the "mulligan" car to go back to the woods. This car, which with the locomotive, is standing in front of the commissary is an old box car with four benches running lengthwise. In level country it is a good scheme, particularly when rainy, but the men have to crowd in so tightly that where rough it is dangerous and in the other camps of the company, the men are carried on flat cars where they have a chance if anything happens
