On Saturday, April 30, 1983, at 10:30 am the organizing committee for the Vietnamese National Rancor Day, Southern California held a mass meeting and parade to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the date South Vietnam fell to communist invasion (April 30, 1975) on the south lawn at City Hall.
