Form letter from George Deukmajian, Governor of California, to attendees of the Poston II 5th Camp reunion acknowledging personal grief of incarceration and encouraging them to ensure that American citizens never again lose their rights and liberties. From Poston 47th Anniversary in Monterey, California.
George Oki (Nisei), born March 9, 1927 to Magoichi and Masayo (nee Kamada) Oki in Sacramento, California. He was incarcerated at Pinedale Temporary Assembly Center and Poston II Incarceration Camp. He became a control tower operator in the Army Air Forces Communications System Unit in post-WWII occupied Japan at Itazuke Air Force Base in Kyushu, Japan.
