Photograph of a birdseye view of the construction of the San Gabriel dam, 1936. A dry river bed can be seen running from the foreground to the background at center. Several dirt roads can be seen at the bottom of the gorge, and several pieces of construction equipment can be seen as well. Tall mountains are visible on both sides of the gorge, and a water tower can be seen on a hill at left.
