Description: This postcard, mailed in 1948, features a black and white photograph of Sutter's Fort. Control of Sutter's Fort was transferred from the California State Department of Finance to the Division of Parks and Beaches in 1946. 1948 marked the centennial anniversary of gold discovery in the area with Sutter's Fort hosting special historical exhibits throughout the year.
