Photograph of a group of seven Dominican sisters in the garden at their convent at Mission San Jose, ca.1906. Three sit on a wooden bench adjacent to a wide dirt path on which three stand on the well-manicured mission grounds. Two of the seated nuns hold books open on their laps. The seventh nun stands on the grass behind the seated nuns. They all wear white habits. Trees and other benches line the path.
