Description
"Indische Kulizauberer." ("Indian coolie magicians."). The picture shows two young men of Indian origin crouching. The one on the left plays a big flute with ornaments. He wears a big scarf wrapped around his head and dark cloths. Around his neck a snake. The other young man wears a small cap and a light colored jacket. In front of them a blanket and probably a bag with a few coins on it. On the left a basket, a piece of cloth and a small container made of metal. Imprinted on the image: "1539."
The photo was taken in the Western part of South Africa.
